Same as us this time...! Done both apartment and catered chalet before, but both out towards the Venosc end of town, so wanted something a bit more central. Loads of places nearby to eact/drink.
For lifts up in the morning, you can either take the Jandri Express or the "White Eggs", both right in the centre of resort, or head over to the "Red Eggs" at the Venosc end. You should be able to get one of the nursery lifts up then ski down to the red eggs, I think, or it's only a few minutes walk. Each will take you to a slightly different area, so kind of depends what you're after.
Neilson last year did the ski leading days - one for blue runs, one for red, one for blabks, which is a good way to familiarise yourself with the resort. I skiied on my own last year, as hubby had gone over to the dark side of boarding and was on the easy runs, so I went along on the blue day to refamiliarise myself with the resort. Really good day, the reps show you some of the slopes, which if you don't know the resort, is great.
Have a great time and save me some snow for the 28th!!

Do the whirlybird trip.....do it for me as i regret not going :-(
i think trip advisor is a great way of getting a feel for somewhere. dont get me wrong i know its not fool proof and people always have differing standards but overall it seemed a good shout and a great location. just praying for good snow as last year nearly spelled the end for my partner and i when we went to borovets and the conditions were horific. 20 ft sheets of solid ice 6" rocks poking through and a mud patches everyehere. it just shattered her confidence so im hoping this year with her own custom fit boots and own skis and please decent snow we can get her back on track. we spent three days last feb skiing the only run with more than an inch of snow .

I'm heading over there on the 28th of Jan, was there before a couple of years ago. Thought the conditions were excellent, plenty of snow and slopes are well groomed. Accomodation isnt great from my recollection, old resort with a lot of appartments which need to be upgraded. Overall though, i thought it was a great resort.

That came up as a deal for me a couple of weeks ago. Mixed reviews but it looks fine TBH. I decided to hang it out for a resort I liked the look of more, but would probably try L2A some time. I might even have a day out from ADH soon, possibly via Helicopter :wink:matt23 wrote:The hotel aalborg with neikson ski. if your not sure its on good old trip advisor as no4 voted hotel in l2a .. thanks

Cheers Mekka, looks okay we thought, and if the food in the Neilson chalet we stayed in last year is anything to go by, we won't go hungry!!
