I've just ordered the handlebar grip from amazon for £18 with free delivery. It's definitely worth getting, as ellistine has got his best footage using that method IMO
Haven't actually filmed with the go pro I've got yet but I have been busy playing with previous footage and making some movies with the iMovie editor on my mac. Some quite pleasing results for an amateur like myself.

Thats excellent
Interesting to see from your shadow that you seemed to be holding the cam in your hand while filming: did you find that ok and did you use any other kind of bracket to hold?
Weather and conditions looked amazing, and those rugrats are great little skiers.
Out of interest, were you skiing on Scott's?
For hand holding i use the bobbler. Its great for a gloved hand.
I bought it last year for a spain trip as it makes your camera float. I used it in the sea and pool but i found it useful on the snow too.
Ignore the moobs.
"Ow.....that f***ing hurt"
I said that about 30 seconds earlier just watching that !!!!!

Niixsy - didn't end up using a pole mount in the end but videos on Youtube show people adding a bit of insulating tape to the pole to provide a tactile surface and then using the handlebar mount. I'd seen a Youtube clip of somebody mounting a GoPro to their boot but the one I saw had them using the crown strap from the head mount. I took all the strapping off and just looped the power strap through the plastic mount. The hard part about doing DIY is do you want to risk loosing your camera if the mount doesn't hold up. If the GoPro had a standard tripod fit there's bound to be a lot of options but as you'd have to buy the tripod adaptor for the camera first it doesn't seem worth it. If you want to invest in one mount you already haven't I'd suggest the chest mount, I've seen some cool footage from them both forwards and backwards.
