This will probably turn out to be one of the biggest snow falls of the season I think.

First I decided to knock a bit of snow off the car in the hope the sun might hit it and melt any ice underneath.

Then off with the hordes for a bit of skiing in waist deep powder. You have to laugh, they only ran the top lift for a few minutes first thing, a bunch of us went up but no one's skied that beautifully prepared piste, I bet they wonder why they bother :D It shut for a while for more avalanche clearance and reopened later.

And back home to finish digging the cars out.

Just been to dig my car out. It was buried up above the bonnet, which is a wee bit taller than yours. Not found our parking place signpost yet though :shock:

Went up on Grimentz today, beautiful deep powder, and I ran over a rock :roll:

Plenty of slide activity, notably the top right hand side of the Tsarva piste has vanished under debris :shock:

The radio report according to Stevo (chalet dude) said 80cm expected today alone.. more coming!!!

Thankfully my new skis are here. I don't think I will be able to negotiate these through a mogul field :lol:

Wow, so much snow, we have the same here in Thyon. Looks like you guys know what you are doing, some people here have been caught out by not being properly pre paired, no chains etc. This is the most snow I have seen in three years and I think there is more to come!!!
Have fun(' )');
