Today might just be heaviest snow have ever seen. Looks like about 5cm/hr at moment in Chamonix, with at least 20cm already in town.

Munich_Johnny we are heading out to The skiwelt Saturday. How far is it to Kaltenbach from Worgl and is it easy to get to? looking for options if things don't improve.

Snowlily, there has been a fair dump of snow in The Wildschonau and Ski Welt, so you should be well Ok.
To answer your question, by car, Kaltenbach would be 30/40 minutes by car from Woergl to Kaltenbach. I think you will fund that will not be required to find snow. I will be just a few km from you on your final days....

Thank you Dave. I only managed to ski one day last year before rupturing my quad fortunately just outside the Sonnseit hut in Hopfgarten so need a good weeks skiing. this may be our last visit to the area and want to make the most of it. the kaiserschmarm in Going beckons me!!!!

Knobby1, they have really been struggling this winter like everywhere else, but in the last 10 days things have changed quite considerably in most places including Soll. I believe they are due more this week as well. The town itself has had a covering in the last week. Think you'll be fine and it's a great place.

Must have been a lot of snow in the night as some pretty long rumbles after the initial control blast. Looking at trees, seems rain to at least 1500m (maybe higher) which matches the 6 degC in town last night. Really need a big temperature drop with next weeks snow.

I'll be in Tignes by this time next week, best part of 2m forecast before then. Happy days. Already looking great, even low down. Was getting a bit nervous a week or so ago.
Wish it was the same everywhere else. Have a mate out in Morzine this week, was pouring with rain there yesterday.
