No, wally, not those platforms. The actual viewing gallery at the top, felt like it was moving up and down for a minute....

That sounds like altitude sickness to me, Tony. When I was in that top restaurant at Kaprun, I felt like I was in a boat (or just come home from a long time on a boat if you know what I mean) and everything was swaying about. It wasn't just me either, someone else noticed the same effect.

Headaches, and nosebleeds can also be a symptom of it.

I always get nosebleeds when I am on a skiing holiday. 3 last week, but not when I was up the mountain, in the middle of the night in bed!

That's what happens to my son, too. Always in the middle of the night.

Just wondering, does anybody arrive home from a ski trip with an ear infection, happened me twice before and both times went to my doctor and he always asked have I been at altitude?

Nope, but I came back this time with Man Flu. It's extremely serious.

My son had a nose bleed in Les Men. I read somewhere it's to do with dry air i.e. lack of moisture in ski accommodation. Apparently Vaseline up the nostrils helps prevent the nose bleeds.

Yes I came back from LM with a cold, my OH said it couldn't have been what he had at the beginning of the week or I'd be feeling really ill like he was!
