hi, I skied this route a few years ago and there was talk of a new chairlift being installed to avoid the long drag. anyone know if this has happened?

Not sure it has, there have been a few new lifts elsewhere in resort but not between the resorts. That draglift is a nightmare on a snowboard.
Who would pay for it? France or Italy?

Did do a post on a story on a new lift but not replacing a draglift... https://www.j2ski.com/ski-chat-forum/posts/list/0/21016.page#163114
But I looked at the piste map and zoomed in on the little box top left and it looks like it's still the long drags. I know that plateau is very prone to windy weather (capital of ski kiting!) so that maybe a reason why there's not a chairlift yet? https://z5y4f7y6.delivery.rocketcdn.me/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/DSR_PLANDESPISTES_2024_2025_WEB.pdf
