is there a difference between the yellow persimmon and the black? yellow better for really flat light? (bearing in mind i ski in scotland where it is NEVER sunny)
I've only ever used the standard persimmon lens, the High Intensity (HI) persimmon lens has an iridium coating which gives better contrast and depth perception according to Oakley, it also costs twice as much  The light transmission is only 1% different.
I tend to only use goggles (A Frame Persimmons) when the visibility is too poor for sunglasses but on those days when you ski in and out of cloud so one minute the visibility is crap and the next it's brilliant sunshine I find that the persimmon lens works ok in the sunlight- you don't get blinded the way you do with some flat light lenses. Its the best all round lens that I have used.
