No No No, you are fine. I CAN fly into Geneva, and I was hoping for suggestions based on Geneva, Munich, Zurich, Milan and Turin. I have not booked any flights just yet. Bandit stands corrected.

I quote your post on Page 2 of this thread, though I am assuming that "accommocation" means a place to stay.

I was looking at Geneva and resorts around there, but have ended up with flights to Munich, car hire, and some very cheap accommocation in Mayrhofen. Nothing booked yet, as I am still exploring other possibilities, but at least I now have something possible to fall back on.

I just wish that you would pull your finger out and get on with it :P

I cant just yet. Flights are available, I have sourced suitable accommodation in the Hof which I COULD book, but I need to wait until Mrs H has her holiday authorised, and until I am happy I am doing the right thing going back to M. I would like to see other places, however this trip is going to be based on cheapest costs only.

Nope. I would be delighted to try Niederau out, and see whether it lives up to suggestions on here!

You will be unsurprised to hear that it has now been confirmed. Mrs H and I fly into Munich on 26th December, pick up a car and drive to Mayrhofen, ski for 4 full days, and return home mid afternoon on New Years Eve. All for under £300 for the 2 of us, and only using 3 days annual leave. Cant wait.

Hi Tony

The resort of La Clusaz had already been mentioned - and is perfect for short breaks being under an hour from Geneva.
We have chalet short breaks over the Christmas and New Year period - includes catered chalet, transfers and your full region lift pass.

Suitable dates would be Sat 27th to Tue 30th Dec, or Tue 20th to Sat 3rd Jan - find full details at http://www.skiweekender.com/christmas.htm

Hope that helps...

Paul

tony that seems like an excellent price.

I am just hoping everyone likes skiing and I will not be going during the school hols next time. I will take the kids out of shcool.

hopefully we will be able to pick up a bargain too.

then again if it all goes pear shaped I will be advertising for a ski buddy on here cause whether they like it or not I will be continuing going skiing for the forseeable future even if it is on me own! lol
