OK lets put you all to the test whilst Henski is awol.

I am planning a short ski break before my main trip to Canada and the necessary details are:
1. Fly from Manchester
2. 3 or 4 nights - needs to include a weekend but don't mind if its leaving midweek or leaving on a weekend (I know some people offer deals for what they classify as midweek breaks)
3. Anytime in the first two weeks of Feb
4. Preferably a short transfer i.e 1.5hrs max
5. Require ski carriage and lift pass but no lessons
6. Two people

Cheers people....... GO GO GO GO :D

Hi Brimster,
I had a look for you (I know I'm a sucker!).

I just googled short ski breaks and came up with igoski.co.uk (although I have no idea if they are any good or not).

http://igoski.co.uk/ski-midweek.html

They have the catered basic hotel Chamois in Les Gets from Sunday 6th Feb to Wed 9th Feb for £327 including flights and £282 without flights. Unfortunately they didn't seem to have any flights available from Manchester.

So, I had a look at Easyjet flying from Manchester to Geneva, which is apparently only an hour from Les Gets. Total price for return tickets including ski carriage and one piece of baggage was £140 -00
But I don't know if they'd give you free transfers if you organized your own flights - you'd have to e-mail or phone them.

3 days Lift pass for Les Gets/Morzine was 90 euros.

Total price £422-00 plus 90 euros, say £80 = £502

I don't know if Sunday to Wednesday suits you, or if you like Les Gets, but I thought I'd have a go at this novelty Christmas game :D

Ally

I had been looking at iGOSKi but like you have not heard anything about them.... FYI they do include transfers.
