Rose, you may or may not make a phone call to Inghams. The reason I suggested email contact, is that you ought to have a written reply that you can present to Easyjet checkout.

Additionally, in the event of a wheel falling off, you then have something in writing to present to Inghams on your return, to assist in a claim.

It's quite difficult to convince someone of the veracity of the contents of a phone.

Ok, talk to them, but get in in writing.

Re the accomodation. Kick out loud now, those who shout loudest may get a better response on the resort.

I did email them the week before last to get a receipt for my payment, every day they promised there was one in the post. I had to phone to get one. From reading on other forums they all said they usually got a receipt as soon as they paid, but this time Inghams left it very late and then had to include the changes on it. Hubby is going to deal with it to-morrow, because he worry's for me because of my fear of flying he knows I wont want a fiasco and free for all to get on the plane. Do you think we will have to pay for hand luggage?

I wonder whats happened to the GB Airways flights to Kuusamo then?

I think I read somewhere that Easyjet purchased GB Airways from BA.

That explains a lot then, Bandit. Interestingly, Easyjet dont advertise the old GB Airways routes as their own on the website, but maybe that will come in time.
My guess is that routes like the one Rose is using will be used initially as charters for companies like Inghams, before they decide what to do with them. If thats the case, I would imagine that Easyjet MIGHT possibly change check in procedures if its a charter ONLY flight, which would mean seat allocation etc, but I think thats unlikely.

Dave, I agree about getting it in writing, but I think its easier to have a phone discussion and come to an agreement, and then get it in writing. Its quite easy for large companies to "not find" emails, I speak from experience!

Rose, best of luck. I hope you can get some assurances, as i know how much you have been looking forward to this trip.
As for your fear of flying, drop me a PM if there is something specific I might be able to help with, as I cured my own fear of flying 4 years ago without any need for therapy, medication or outside intervention. I'd love to think that what I got through could be useful for someone else. Trust me, you will look back and realise that your fear is/was completely irrational.

Anyway, its not flying that people are afraid of, its crashing, which doesnt happen very often, and there are always a combination of events which lead to these incidents.....watch Air Crash Investigation, all of them, believe it or not they actually help and make you realise how virtually impossible these events are - 1 in millions. More chance of getting knocked over tomorrow by a bus. Seriously Rose, if I can help, I will.

I can confirm that Easyjet did buy GB Airways from BA as one of my friends flies for Easyjet (out of West Mids) and another for GB (out of Gatwick). Both of these guys used to fly for BA direct and both say how much better Easyjet are. GB Airways are still being integrated into Easyjet so the routes may not all show up.

Hubby has been in touch with Inghams and providing every-thing they told him was true then every-thing should be okay. He has asked for it in writing. Inghams say that if flights had not been switched to Easyjet then a lot of holidays would have been cancelled. They say that our original flight would have been with Flybe and that you would still have had to buy meals on board, but as gestures of good will every-one is issued with vouchers for food.
As we already paid for ski-carriage that will still stand with Easyjet, luggage allowance 20KG and no charge on hand luggage.
Boarding passes will be issued but families with children will be first on.
As regards the bunk bed situation in the Log cabin that is a standard message on all receipts that kids could be in bunk beds. But because we have the cabin to ourselves the mezzanine bedroom will have a proper bed.
So quite pleased now. They said that as its a chartered flight not a scheduled one things are a bit different
