Should I go to France?

Yes, I have. Which is why I am quite entitled to have opinions on the resorts I've been to:
Val thorens
Alpe d'huez twice
Montgenevre
Serre chevalier 4 times
Enough about some of the so called mega resorts puts me off, although I do like the sound of some of the skiing in val d'isere.
I love serre che and alpe d'huez but they're both quite different from a lot of the big French areas from what I can make out.
Never say never, but when it comes to choosing our destinations, the first thing most of our group say is "make sure its n France" and thats based on experience and the negatives of skiing in France.
There's plenty of Europe to see before France ends exploring much further, thanks.

Check out Bardonecchia, only 1hr 10 mins from Turin airport. We have a chalet there, some great skiing and the food is pretty good too! If you have a group we can offer some good discount prices, check out www.sempreski.com

Tony, have you skiied in France at all (I can't remember)? I think you need to try it to see for yourself, for someone who is a massive fan of skiing you are really limiting yourself by not going because of what you've heard from other people.
My favourite resort is Val D'isere (as opposed to Tignes for accommodation) the area is huge, as is Paradiski (not that I saw much of it this year), you're doing yourself out of some good skiing.
Book it!

If you rule out France I believe you are ruling out over 60% of the Europe's best skiing.
