So no street cred for you Wickers :(

As I have plenty of street cred on the slopes & don't want it can you tell me what type of braces you use & if the toothed type do they damage your trousers?

Another vote for braces if you can get away with them (though agree they don't look great). My husband bought a pair last year which work brilliantly and have smooth fastenings so don't damage ski trousers.

Personally hated mine and took them off before ever wearing my last set of ski trousers. Current models don't have any but do need a belt – short thin version which came free with a pair of jeans does the job perfectly. May be different for men though as these sit on my waist not my hips.

How good are you with a needle and thread? My local sewing shop sells a variety of widths of black elastic plus little silvery 'D' shapes with matching double hook silvery 'thing' for the other end of your home made belt.

You're wearing bright blue trousers!

.

Are you suggesting its only acceptable to wear black ones?????

Not at all, but it seem interesting that you are conscious of a pair of braces, that spend most of their time under a coat, yet wear bright yellow trousers.

Bib/braces look ridiculous when you arent wearing the jacket though, thats the whole point. Like when you stop for lunch or drinks.....

Whats your beef with coloured sallopettes then?

No beef, mine are bright green! All the more reason for not worrying about the braces.

Again I disagree they look ridiculous. What's more ridiculous (in my opinion) is someone trying to walk in ski boots.

I am liking green pants. But I have a green jacket so that wouldn't work.

All the stupid things people do and say skiing......check out "Sh1t Skiers Say" video on youtube, even though it is American
