New snow and a fall in temperatures in Australian resorts has arrived just at the right time for resort openings.
Perisher has reported close to 30cm of snow in the last week, with more lifts due to open this weekend. Similar levels of new snow have been reported at Falls Creek and Hotham in Victoria.
Fresh snow has not been as plentiful in New Zealand. However, falling temperatures have allowed artificial snow to be made, with Cardrona (pictured below) topping up their pistes nicely. It has since started snowing lightly and the resort will open this weekend.
