I am currently solo backpacking and in Switzerland atm. Just wondering the best places to go solo wth decent beginner runs and also accomm that's reasonable for 1 person.
Also looking at anything available from next Monday the 16th jan to the 30th jan if there is any one needing a roomshare?
FYI I'm a active 29 year old female from Aus. Don't mind a drink or 2 but don't really last past that. For more info PM :)
Thanks heaps !!!

There are mixed groups of J2Skiers going to be in Kaprun and La Thuile over the next couple of weeks; not sure if they still have any spaces but I'm sure they'll chime in if they do.
If you've not spotted it, a few folk are also making their plans public on the Who's Going Where List.
Destination suggestions depend a little on how much socialising you want to do? It's low season so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding accommodation. Catered chalets are good options if you want company, and there are some good deals around.
Snow's falling in much of The Alps at the moment - and for the next few days - so I'd suggest not going anywhere too high (high enough to have snow, obviously!) just yet as next week looks like it's going to be seriously cold at times.

I have skied in Perisher, so I am pleased that you are over in Europe doing the same.
You are in Switzerland, a lovely country, some great locations, but, in general, an expensive country.
Italy and Austria are less expensive.
France is very costly
In my village of Niederau, I might expect to pay €30/40 for B&b.
For your drink or two, in my local stubl in Niederau, you might get to hear my friend Herbert, playing harp.

@dave mac- totally agree on Switzerland being beautiful yet expensive, even my swiss friends ski in France or Italy. I came
Across Alpach in Austria?what are your thoughts. Is it better to book a package of accommodation and ski pass or do this individually?
Thanks for the tips about Niederau! The pub sounds fab!
