Rose R (? dunno how to scrol back) what about these cabins for two? is that right? sound lovely.. can you give me some more info?

The ones in ruka are log cabins in the forest by the frozen lakes. They are for 2-4 people, but more for 2 adults and 2 kids. Unfortunately supplements for only two people. Have own sauna, drying room. Log fires and fully fitted kitchen with wash machine dishwasher, m/wave,oven, coffee machine. Comfy lounge with dvd, tv radio etc. Look on Inghams ski site, under Ruka, under log cabins. Also check out Ruka/Kussamo web site. Any more info tou need give me a pm, I will be happy to oblige. I have never been before but really looking forward to it.

Have never really fancied it either, due to the short runs but if someone offered me a holiday there for free i wouldn't turn it down!

The experience would be great though just i like going on big treks during a day like can be found in the dolomites etc...

The bonus though is that inghams now fly there from Bristol! Very useful which means i could end up there with the family next year!

Whilst in comparison to other resorts, runs maybe short if I recall longest at yllas 2.5k.

No waiting time at the lifts at all, uncrowded slopes.

Before anyone asks I do not work for the Fin Tourist board, its really the most perfect place to ski, if you prefer perfect groomed slopes no rocks and are not a so called expert, mind we all think we are one of those at times when really no more than an INTER.
