I've no experience of these Volkls, sorry.
But what I will say is get boots that fit well, irrespctive of colour and will allow your skiing to develop. You sound pretty young, so you should be aspiring to be as good as you can. Buying kit that may test you for a few days and then benefit you for many, many more is the way forward.
I know this from experience, as after 7 years without skiing I hired a pair of Atomic SL9's and had an absolute blast. I went home and ordered some GS9's and went to Kaprun. The first few runs were a bit hairy and I thought "maybe these are a bit quick for me" But once I settled they were fantatsic and I improved with them. I now want something faster and snappier.
So, enjoy your new skis, get some sound advice and take your time with the boots and become the best skier you can.
And don't take too much notice of some of the digs you will get on here - right Rossfra8??
