Ironically, One of the treats of camping in the woods here in MN is watching the red squirrels. Are they still a rare sight in UK ?. I also could watch the chipmunks foraging around the campsite for hours. If you stay still, they are totally oblivious to you.

yeah they reckon soon enough there will be no red squirrels in the uk, the greys are mixed breeding with them. Think there's a sanctuary somewhere thats keeping the red squirrels going though.

Brownsea Island near Poole, Dorset still has red squirrels. Apparently grey ones don't swim too well!

There are still red squirrels up here in Scotland Trencher.

They are even getting protected by an armed millitia - country rangers are shooting greys trying to sneak over the border!

One of my best female friends sails, she is girl topper world champion. She's taking me out in the summer sailing am actually quite looking forward to it is sailing fun???
