That's good to hear that you haven't tired of it on return, I was a bit worried about that, thinking I would have to try somewhere else to get the same kind of buzz.
I am so jealous that you have been once this year already and are returning in 3 weeks oh I feel sick with jealousy I could nearly stow away in someone's luggage I want to go back that bad. I would love to be going back. Your very lucky. What is the festival in August like? What do they do or what is it that they celebrate?. The summer break there must be completely different to the skiing other than the hiking what did you get up to in it? Is the place as busy in the summer?
I don't think I would go as far as purchasing the outfits, they don't do it for me! Wasn't a big fan of the outfits on show at the awards night but they were good for a laff. :D
I really liked the social aspect of the whole skiing I met some lovely people in the ski school and we've been exchanging our photo's and videos since. Though the videos are causing a problem getting them off the phone. I think even if I was a better/advanced skier I would take some sort of lessons, the social part of it is fantastic. Makes the straight of the piste/nursery slopes après ski even more enjoyable. Hansi was sound, quiet throughout the instruction. He was very good giving everyone their turn behind him. I personally preferred staying at the very back, I could judge when I needed to slow down. Wasn't particularly good at controlling my speed. He was a great ambassador for the red ski school, as was Sepp for the half day we had him. Every time we saw sepp on the slopes he would always say hello. Hansi was unbelievably patient, we really did try his patience. He is a bit of a flirt in the awards farewell night as well, no wonder he says he loves his job.

We stayed in the Austria and one of the male staff in there was a lovely guy as well great sense of humour and very hard working. After last night's drinking session I have persuaded a few more people to consider a ski holiday to Austria. I wonder how long my Neiderau blues will last it's been a week yesterday since my return, and it hasn't got any better.

Tony H you must be a very scary ma. I am getting PM's so you don't get upset about the positive discussions about Neiderau and people are asking for the admin person to hide posts from you!

It's a forum. If people don't like what you're saying they don't have to read it.
And I wouldn't say scary........

Good grief.
This needs to be put to bed once and for all:
You went, you loved it, fantastic. Others feel the same way about the place. Other feel the same way about other places. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but its best to have an opinion based on personal experience.
I visited Niederau a few years back and was invited to post my experience. It wasn't for me: too quiet, too small, not exciting skiing, too limited, and the snow was not good lower down which is not uncommon in many other low lying resorts.
However, theres clearly a small band of people who swear by the place, and whatever floats individuals boats. But the angst shown towards me for posting a simple honest opinion was unexpected. I wasn't the only one who incurred the wrath of the N gang!!!
Since then some people have tried to paint an incorrect picture of me, and make statements which are incorrect. I always find it amusing how people who never met you can make sweeping statements about you or the "kind of person you might be".

You can search through posts historically and find my review if you really want to. I didn't say anything other than what I experienced and I would not personally go back to Niederau for a ski holiday, thats all. Its not a bad place, far from it, its pretty and its somewhere you can ski in winter, but there are other places I have been to which are far more interesting, exciting, diverse, friendly, etc etc.

But for those of you that get great pleasure from the place, fair play. Carry on enjoying what you enjoy. But please don't tell me Im a bad person or scary or whatever just because I dare to have a differing opinion from you or someone else. Life all about individaulity, opinions, and freedom of thought and speech.

Bottom line: we all love skiing and sharing our experiences. I read most posts on this forum, I don't comment on everything for the sake of it, but as my name was stupidly brought into this one I felt the need to say something...initially with some tongue in cheek humour, but calling me "scary" and talk of PMs....seriously some people need to have a word with themselves.

As you were......
