I went there a few years ago. It was half term and the snow was great, but obviously it was a busy time!

We had to que to get up and out of Morillon first thing in the morning, and if it wasnt first thing, then you had to que for at least an hour with the odd fight breaking out

But the snow was great so that made it a good holiday :D

We too are staying at Foret - I think it's the BEST place to stay - the apartments aren't superplush but have been recently upgraded - However, the position is great - right next to the beginners' slope and the fast Grand Vans chair. The GV chair is the "key" to the grand massif area as it's the one you need to take to get to the areas outside flaine - this does mean theat the run under it can get very crowded at times as it has such a large capacity and what goes up... - the only other way back to Flaine from the rest of the massif is in the shuttle bus. Mind you there's plenty of skiing to be had in the Flaine bowl itself too. For the best ideas go to grand-massif.com where you can download an IMMENSELY detailed pdf piste map of the whole area plus there's some great webcam views. :-)
Cheers GVJ
