What's it like? Saw it from a distance whilst hobbling around on crutches the last time I was there but found somewhere we would like to stay in that part of La Plagne.

From what I can see online it looks like it's hire shops and no much else, but is it walking distance to any bars? Not major nightlife, just somewhere that sells beer. I'm not fussy.

I've been and i found it a great location but the Apres is quite sedate.
There are a few bars in the village but theres not much going on at all to be honest. I would go back there though as i did enjoy it.
You can get the gondola down to Belcotte in the eve where there a few more bars but its still quiet.

Some pics on my FB Nelly.

As Snapzzz has said, there are a few bars in the "village" but they are pretty unexciting. I like the area as a base in La Plagne, especially if you are thinking of heading over to Les Arcs on a couple of days. On the other hand, it does make for quite a long journey over to the other side of the resort! It really is a genuine, ski-in, ski-out location.

I know the Paradise Ski area well. Belle Plagne is high so reliable snow. It is central so excellent for reaching all parts. Ski in, ski out and no distance to lifts and a short easy ski down to Bellcote from where lifts radiate out to all other satellite villages. There is little night life, mostly apartments . A few small bars and restaurants. Includ

Sorry did not finish.
The Matafan restaurent, one of my favourites is there. For a modern purpose built resort it is not unattractive.

If you want atmosphere , reasonably priced evening entertainment - bars and restaurents in the Paradise ski area take a look at the real village of Champagney en Vanoise. You can rent a very cheap apartment there. It has a telecabine straight up to the ski area and fast ski connections to La Plagne and the rest of the satellites . 25 minute public bus ride from Moutier Saline railway station.
