This arguement is completely irrelevant with relation to helmets.
Its the law to wear a seat belt.

I can't see why people argue over it anyway...except me with my husband because I have one and hate wearing it and he says I ought. And I'm sure lots of people do with their offspring because they always know better.
But personal reasons aside, everyone seems to go agree there are arguments for and against and for now it's down to personal choice.
If someone likes to feel the wind in their hair let them, and if someone feels that weari g a helmet is the safest option for them so what.
