25 sleeps before heading to Tignes.
That is if BA let me fly  out of Heathrow on Easter Sunday. Keeping a close eye on their b****y strike possibilities at the moment.
Tignes to Val D'Isere links are still open when we go, but who knows how much skiable snow there will be. The Grande Motte glacier will have good snow and the runs back to Val Claret at least.
More than this depends on warmth/rain/snow/freeze-thaw etc etc.

Old Andy, do try and avoid the crevasses on the Grand Motte, it seems to be bad for overall health

A Swedish skier fell into a 45m deep crevasse on the Grand Motte at Tignes today. The rescue services managed to extract him after about 4 hrs of effort. He was transferred to hospital in a serious condition.

Someone fell into a crevasse when we were in Tignes, in October (but the rescue services got them out okay), and I saw someone else (when I was up on the chairlift) nearly fall into another one. They have warnings posted up about how dangerous it is to go off piste on the glacier, yet people kept doing it.

Old Andy - have a great time, but, like Bandit said, keep away from the crevasses :D

Any one any idea about snow reports in Haute Savoie region next few days?

Have a great time, I'm sure that you will find some good snow

The crevasses on the GM glacier serve a very useful purpose as a genetic filter !!
It is only total idiots, or real novices, who go off-piste up there.
Mind you it can be quite disconcerting going up a drag lift and finding they have thrown a couple of planks across a crevasse - and you can see down 20/30/40 feet into the blue ice.
Very majestic, but very worrying - :P
However good/bad/wet/icy/non-existant the skiable stuff is we shall enjoy - special hols, going with sister and niece, haven't skied with them since 2004.
Been skiing with my niece since she was 7, now she is 24 and too big to pick up and carry when she gets in trouble.
And I have warned her she can cary her own; jacket, spares, water, sun screen, money etc. this time.

I have just looked at myself in the bathroom mirror. I seemed to have turned green for some unaccountable reason !

It's quite true what Old Andy said about the crevasses on the glacier draglift. I found myself looking down through a bottomless crack and I was very glad I had skis on

One more sleep to go.. ! ! . . . .and still have to get young sons bag packed, get Euros from bank. Finish packing main case and start praying that we have some snow. Its March 30th and the snow in the Alps is fading...so please pray for a snowfall in this next week. We are going to partners place in Megeve, and if skiing there is limited we will drive round to Les Contamines, or even stretch to Chamonix as its higher ! :D
anyone else going this next week ?. .and where ??
