Just had a fantastic week in La Plagne before the sun melts the snow.
Thats me for the season, bought new skis in Jan this year and have been used for 7 days in total. Do I need them sharpened and rewaxed or should I be OK? They were used in anger in France this week though.
Thanks

I make sure they are dry, then apply wax without scraping so the bases are protected then store them under the bed, I get them edged etc the week prior to next trip, seems to work out fine for me, be interested in what the experts have to say tho.

I'm not a great believer in storage wax, though a normal wax and tune is a good idea. Some wax will be left on the edges, protecting them from corrosion. P-Tex base material is a plastic. About the only things that will damage it in storage are UV light and heat; it doesn't oxidize.
It might worth looking for late season deals on waxing and tuning, but if there are none, just take a candle and rub some wax on to the steel edges. There are often preseason offers for ski service, so don't wait until the last minute before you use them again.

Make sure bases are dry I then apply hot wax and scrape to clean base then apply a hot wax and leave till next season, then give the skis a full service, it is also a good idea to release bindings but remember to reset them for next season

Dry them off and put a layer of wax over them to store

Pin - may I suggest you go and do a search on youtube, there are some good videos on there that will help you.
On your bindings it's all about just turning the screw and reducing the DIN setting to zero, but don't forget to remember what yours are set at for skiing.
On the point of releasing the spring on bindings - I think there is some conflicting advice on this nowadays so maybe wait for a more authoratitive viewpoint.
What I do after the last run is just simply knock the loose snow of and take them back to the shop, not forgetting to thank them of course.
And then spend the summer looking at reviews of the next seasons skis before choosing a likely looking hire shop and seeing what the snow conditions are before choosing what to ski on.
