Re:British ski company Mountain Heaven ceases operations

After 21 years of operating British ski company Mountain Heaven has taken the decision to stop operating.

The company first offered self-catered apartments in La Plagne Montalbert in 2003 and added catered chalets growing to six resorts in France and Switzerland.

Last winter they decided to refocus on La Plagne again, with catered chalets in La Plagne 1800 and self-catered apartments in La Plagne Montalbert, as well as running a small operation in Grimentz in Switzerland.

During their 21 years in business, the company saw off both Brexit and Covid, taking over 80,000 guests on ski holidays and employing over 500 staff.

The 2024/25 winter season was a successful one, but following a diagnosis of a significant medical issue in one of the directors, the company has decided to close.

Very sad news, I think I was the only attendee of their first press trip in 2006 :( ...Skiing (aka utterly failing to keep up with) the stunt woman double from a Bond film. I see Balkan holidays and Ski Olympic also shut up shop in the past week.
