We kick off the seasons snow forecasts with the welcome news that temperatures look set to fall across most of the European Alps over the next week, with some areas seeing snowfall down to 2000 metres. It is, of course, way too early to tell if we're going to get as much snow as last year but at least the Alps will be looking good and snowy by the end of the week!
Our first Personalized Weekly Snow Reports have just gone out - if you're not signed up yet then just login and set your favourite Ski Resort in your Profile and we do the rest.
Fingers crossed that the coming week will see the first of very many significant snowfalls to make this season rival the last! Bring it on! 8)

Thanks! There's more to come (features as well as snow, hopefully)...
Unfortunately not in this case... but if anyone comes across a good source of historical snow-depth data then please let us know...
We have detailed records from early February 2006 onwards but don't currently have anything earlier than that.
Today we added 7-day snow forecasts for a bunch more resorts - so if you previously looked in vain for your favourite resort, try again now! We cover over 400 ski resorts now - more to come...

Hello.
I am planning a holiday to visit a friend in Norway from 28th NOV to 3rd DEC.
We are planning on a Snowboard trip to visit Geilo I believe for the whole week.
I have heard that its debatable if there will be snow in NOV, and if so, it could be slush?
Im hoping that as its 'end of' November it should be ok?
How was it last year arround this time?
Is there any predictions for this year?
Thanks
G

Well... Last year, the last week of November saw Geilo have 3 cm of snow on lower and upper slopes and first week of December it rose to 15cm. Thats not brilliant, but as with anywhere early season, there can be large dumps of snow (especially Norway cos of its geographical position).
You could go there and have 50cm+ of snow if you were lucky, but then again you could get there and see just green slopes. I am not sure what the snow-making facilities are like in Geilo, but if it is cold enough the snow making will be working on full. But last season might have had a poor start??
Hope that helps...
