Now I have my boots, I am looking at ways to save on the weight in my case.
I have no intention of wearing said boots on the flight (although I know people have done before).
We will probably wear our ski jackets on the flight but do people wear their sallopettes or is that a push too far?
what do you wear on the flight?

Tony,
You're really going to wear your ski jacket on the plane
I can remember you ticking me off about doing that, not so long ago :D
It's amazing how a 'little' problem with the airlines can make a person change their mind :D

I turn my sallos inside out and wrap them around the bindings of my ski's. Hats, gloves and socks go at the two ends of my ski bag for more protection. My ski boot's go in my hand luggage and I wear my least garish ski jacket for travel. Rolled up into a ball it makes a good cusion. :D
I've never seen anyone wearng their sallos on the plane.

The way I pack my stuff may well change after last weeks delayed baggage debacle!!!
I am now going to travel with ski boots and sallos in hand luggage along with gloves, hat, goggles and wear ski jacket to travel so if my cases go missing again, I can at least ski and rent.

Are you allowed to take your ski boots as hand luggage? Or is it just the size of the bag and not the weight?
