Ski Hire in Mayrhofen

Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before (I have seen a lot of Mayrhofen threads on here) but I searched and couldn't find anything.

I'll be in Mayrhofen for the week starting 23rd January and looking to hire skis (but not boots).

The best deal I can find online is 84 euro for "Premium Skis" in Manni Rental.

Does anyone know of a deal better than this, or have any comments about the shop in question?

I would be willing to pay extra if the price included a conveniently located place to leave the skis overnight.

Try the hanzmann rental shop at top of the main street at the bridge. across from schlussel nite club . they were cheapest by far last year and seemed like new equipment on hire . They have website you can check prices. Thats where we will be going to hire again this year roll on jan 30th. mayrhofen is amazing. !!! :mrgreen:

Skiset showing 75 Euros for Salamon X wing, or Volkl Tiger R1, good skis, depending if you want a cruising ski, or a fast piste ski. My preference would be for the economy, 53 Euros, but then, I have poor taste!

Yep, good shout at 50 euros a week for skis and boots.
However, I'd recommend the hire shop underneath the Penkanbahn, good quality gear and great location.
I used Mannis once and would never use them again, terrible service from people who did not give a damn.

It seems that all the "cheap hire" websites such as ski-set use Manni but if they are as bad as you say Tony then maybe they are best avoided.

All I will say is I rented from there a few years ago, 2006 I believe, before I was quite as into my gear etc as I am now, and it felt like they wanted you in and out as fast as possible with no one taking an interest in your ability, type of skis required, boot comfort, or anything in fact.
I ended up taking 2 pairs of boots and 1 pair of skis back for changing due to them being both broken and unsuitable.
