Hi All

I am looking for a late deal early jan.We have only skied 4 times.Went to
Niederau last season and loved it,but pretty much skied the same runs over and over. The deals coming up are Soll,Alpbach,Mayrhofen,Kaprun,Maria Alm.Apres ski does not have to be to mad.normally shattered after long day skiing.Any advice would be great as i dont have a clue.

Cheers

Hold out if you can. I booked to Scheffau last year, 2nd week in Jan and got half board with flights from Cardiff for £247 per person. Booked it the week before Christmas. The village is a bit quiet but you're slap in the middle of the Skiwelt so can ski all day and you won't get bored.

I'm biting my nails trying to hold on this year. A few people here have said they expect Jan prices to fall soon.

How many of you, what level are you, what kind of slopes do you ski, what size of ski area do you want?

I decided to have a life change and be more spontaneous. Starting tomorrow.

Ok cool, well from my experience of those places you have suggested, I have only been to Mayrhofen but it has TONS of pistes to go at, and you can ski up to 400km including linked areas. Its high up and has a good snow record, lots of reds for confident intermediates, some lovely skiing over in Eggalm which you can ski to, and a short trip down the valley to Zell (free bus or train) opens up loads more.
Nice town, loads of choice for apres however you like it, good places to eat, easy to get about. Just make sure if you go that you get up on the first lift at 8.15am and avoid the queues that develop at 9.
