I bought a mono ski in val cenis and i had a go at it a few times but it was a hell of a lot harder than i first thought it was.
I was wondering weather any of you have used one and if you have any tips for me.

Looks a lot better than it used to. I don't really see the point though, as monoskis seem to have all the disadvantages of an alpine snowboard, and none of the advantages. The inability to fully angulate because the feet are fixed together is always going to be a draw back. Still, it's like Telemark skiing, it's another challenge.

Not used one, but seen plenty over the years, particularly in Les Arcs. Seems harder to use than skis, to make a turn folks seem to have their weight back and push the tail down the slope with a movement from the hips, keeping their legs fairly straight.
Quite rare now, expect folks to point and stare if you take it out )

So apparently monoskis are like downhill skis, everything has changed. I hope you bought a newer carvable monoski. That ugly technique that bandit referred to is no longer necessary....They can carve

Still looks ugly to me. There are some clips of Shane Mcconkey on a monoski and he is fairly good.
