Skiing in Garmisch / Jan'10

The group of 2 persons just finally decided to ski in Garmisch coming winter :).
Now we are looking for good accommodation there for the middle of Jan and probably will stay here.

We are interesting in any information related to skiing in Garmisch e.g. where could we find information regarding ski buses, cable cars, prices for public transport, are ski passes cover all ski lifts in GP ski area, cable cars including Eibsee-Seilbahn and ski buses etc.
Pls replay to this post taking into account that we have never skied in the European ALps.

Greetings! My wife and I are going to be skiing in Garmisch-Partenkirchen during the first week of January. I'm hoping for good snow conditions, but it sounds like there hasn't been a whole lot so far in December. I emailed the G-P tourism office with some questions about ski school and rentals, and they were very prompt in responding. Here is their information:
