Recommended resorts near Geneva?

Hi,
Could anyone offer me some advice on a ski resort, with in 1 hr of Geneva please.

As there seems to be very limited flights from Birmingham to Austrian airports, I think Geneva is the best option.

We travel as 4 adults and 3 kids, all the kids can do hard Red runs quite easily, 3 adults can do reds, one adult is still on the nursery slopes,learning.

What I was after is can anyone recommend a resort within 1 hr of Geneva, that caters well for intermediates, but has decent ski school for the learner. As we are only going for 4 days this year[Half Term too expensive]I didn't want to go too far once landing.

Flaine was on my list, too - and also the PDS - though Chatel was the village that came to mind.

St Gervais is only an hour by car from Geneva )

All of the above although if you were thinking of Chamonix, you would want to stay in Les Houches, anywhere else in the valley and it will be very hard for the one learner to meet up with the rest of the group during the day.

If you look back a few weeks we had the same thread.
For my money St Gervais / Megeve for mixed group.
They have a British Ski school starting up this year as well.

I went on a 1 day Performance Clinic with BASS Director Will Roberts last Saturday. Very impressive :D
