Rose it's a civilised way of running a chairlift!

As you approach the gates, your skis/board slide onto a conveyor, and the chair comes around behind and loading is quite gentle because you are moving forwards. None of this catching the back of the knees lark!

The bubbles are a see through perspex cover which comes down with the footrest and keeps the wind off you. It also keeps the snow off the seat!
Very civilised :D

Hi,

Sounds posher than it is. 6-seater is straightforward!! Bubble is a perspex "lid" you pull down if required to shield you from cold weather-great as it gets like a greenhouse under there!
Loading carpet is like an airport Travellator, you edge on and it takes you forward to the right place for the seat to arrive and whisk you away.

Rose Getting off at the top will be by the "normal" method, and as these are usually express chairs, expect the chair to slow right down once you reach the offloading area. :D

Hi Rose,

Bandit's right - they're much easier than the usual ones, as you don't end up banging your knees all over the place. There was one in Kitzbuhel last year - and it even had heated seats. now that's what I call civilised!!
