okay, having a little trouble figuring out where to snowboard in switzerland. we are 3 21 yr old american girls studying in florence for the semester. we DESPERATELY want to take a trip to a resort in switzerland on the first weekend of december. there is a group trip going interlaken but ive heard that they are more known for their summer sports. being from the each coast of the states i get really nervous about snow conditions not being reliable. does anyone know if the conditions are typically good at that time of year in interlaken? i wanted to go to zermatt but all hostels are booked. or does anyone have any suggestions of resorts with reliable snow conditions that is possibly close to an airport and that maybe isnt soo popular that all hostels are booked already? i know these are a lot of questions but i just feel like if im going to ride in switzerland (the only time in my life probably) i want to do it right and i want it to blow my mind without blowing up my wallet. we're broke college kids. if anyone could help we'd REALLY REALLY appreciate it, as we need to start booking things asap. thanks soo much everyone!

Well if you want to come to Scotland... I'll even wear my kilt and drink whiskey for you.

Chamonix (France) is an hour from Geneva Airport and will be open by then!

Your loss. On a serious note check out Chamonix, you get to fly to Switzerland, will have snow, cheap hostels and availability,

It is a short transfer, unbelievable scenery and your gonna get snow. Generally a lot of these things come with expense.. Maybe someone else more knowledgeable on Europe will step in and stop me making myself look foolish.
