Hi all,
My Partner and I are currently looking at doing a season in North America and was wondering if anyone knows of any company/contact etc. for Chalet hosting in North America. Another option would also be any other season long jobs.

you should check Natives.co.uk there's a lot of ad's on there. Alternately some of the Canadian (and probably others) have some job fairs if you're not 100% tied to being a chalet host. It's a demanding role so you need to be sure you want to do it but you probably know that.
A few of the larger tour operators have chalets in N. America that require hosts. Nielson, Crystal etc... Contact them directly.
I spent 4 seasons in N. America without working papers and managed to get jobs and accommodation almost too easily. The Brit accent works wonders; just avoid the glitzy, famous resorts and go somewhere off the beaten track and you should have no problems winging it....

The kind of jobs you wish are not possible in North America! In this side of the pond skiers buy chalets or share as a group a chalet for a season!
We have many bed and breakfast Inns however locals are hired!
The very best way to get jobs is to come to America in September and then to determine which area you wish to ski! West or east!
Many large ski resorts hire but the American Immigration Service is getting more and more "difficult"
It would not be wise for me to tell you on this medium how to get jobs! You can!
Once on site people will tell you how!
May I suggest the Selkirk interior (BC interior) much easier to get jobs, great snow and great people with no concern about Homeland Security issues!
I would avoid Whistler even if many skiers will tell you there are great jobs there! Pre Olympic issues will not help you!
May I suggest you get local papers via net!
May I suggest you get "industry sites" which most skiers do not read yet all ski pros read and consult on regular basis!
May I suggest you find "new" ski resorts that will open or have just opened in the pasted 3 years! I regularly get emails from them asking me to recommend persons for them! This is at Instructor/coach level!
