I see on other freds that a few people are going back to the alps this summer for non skiing holidays in the mountains. I see that people often connect skiing holidays with walking, biking or general mountain summer holidays, but that kind of thing doesnt have any appeal to me. The mountains are beautiful, but for me the summer is about finding a beautiful quiet beach somewhere, soaking up the sun, getting away from normality, and chilling out. I know Ellestine doesnt favour sun holidays, but I was wondering if it is a trend amongst skiers not to take "proper" summer holidays, so:
Where is everyone going this summer - or before the skiing season starts again, anyway?
Me -2 weeks in Rhodes with Mrs H late June/early July, and then a week somewhere in September to recharge the batteries as the cold weather closes in.

Week in Niederau in July, with my Scouse mate and his Kiwi wife, both live in New Zealand. We were all ski instructors together in Niederau, back in the umpties. We also shared accomodation for two winters. This is their first visit back to Niederau since then.
Plenty of Zipfer bier, and harp music to be had in the Bichlwirt.
However, before then, I have to finish off a watercolour of Oberau church, being done for an Austrian friend. I promised it to him 18 months ago.
Don't really like beach sun baking, uually spend 4 or 5 hours a day swimming in the sea.

I'll be working and going to school. Not planning on doing too much but biking. I would like to try and get back to Innsbruck just for a small vacation and look for an apartment.
Uh oh, I think I broke'd the lift
