I'm sure you've booked already, however the Sella Ronda is great. If you've a car even better. Ortisei is fabulous and easy to get to the sella ronda each day by car, or ski bus. And it's relatively untouristy. WE were there last year and half term made no difference. We went a weds to a weds with the 2nd half of our stay in half term. No difference at all.

Having booked to Venice, I would agree that somewhere centred around the Sella Ronda would be ideal. Ortisei is linked, although there is less skiing locally, but you can get into Selva and the rest of Val Gardena easily, and be over in Madonna in an hour or so. Its somewhere I really want to go to. Try Canazei as well, and also I would seriously check out Folgarida and Marivella.

Alternatively, head up into SE Austria and check out Nassfeld and the Karnten region. Looks almost as fabulous, and I hear its still reasonably quiet up there.

Good luck. Room for a little one?????
