Flims Laax Resort, Switzerland. Can anyone recommend it?

Looking for resort relatively close to Basle or Zurich and informed Flims Laax is ok. Anyone any info on this resort if any good for intermediate boarders.

Laax is the Mecca for boarders of all standards.
Flims is linked and also great for skiers and boarders.

The train trip from Zurich is a second 'glacier express'
Beautifull!!

Some tour-groups now list it, but for years it was a secret venue for Germans the Swiss and ME

Thanks for the reply Dave. Since I will be going for w/e only do you advise the train (is it easy from airport to station?)or for time's sake is it best to arrange road transfer (may be more expensive but costs spread over 2-3 people)?

as I lived in Zurich for 4 years I believed my experience is valuable ;-)
Laax is the best resort close to Zurich. You can get there by train (Switzerland has some of the best railways in the world-honest, try cff.ch) but it's fairly expensive so you might want to rent a car for a party of two or more. It takes about 1.5 hours. There's also a bus from Zurich town (http://www.laaxexpress.ch/default2.htm)
If you are going to stay there I recommend the riders palce: affordable and simply the best place to stay in Laax/Flims. If you like it very quiet, try Falera (it is all part of the same ski resort).
