Hi

This is a plea for help. I had my ski poles broken by an out of control skier last week, which gave me the chance to buy some nice new ones, which I really wanted last time.

However, despite being in Austria, the only pair I could find in the shops were too long, and I could do with some help locating what I am looking for.

I really want Blizzard ski poles, 120cm in length, black and red in colour, with the softer touch handles. I saw these in Hervis in Mayrhofen at E19.99, half price, but they were only in 130cm length.

If anyone can get hold of these for me, even abroad, and would be willing to post them for me, please PM me.

Many many thanks.

(By the way, Ellestine took my old broken pole home and is going to mount it on a plaque and display it in his "ski lodge bar" in his back garden!!!!)

Maybe you should join Trencher and go "poleless!" ;) I think I will be when I get back on in 4-5 weeks since My shoulder will probably be too sensitive to handle them that soon.

have you tried Sport 2000? not sure if they have a website but would guess they do, if not InterSport?

BTW, managed to get away with just a slight bend in one of mine so v.happy
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

I came across a pair in Hervis in Mayrhofen but they were the last pair and too long

I have abandoned the idea of getting them, and have ended up with a pair of K2 4 speed poles. I havent worked out how to change gear with them yet though.....
