Help! Snow in November

The best option, I'm about 95% sure, would be Obergurgl. They should open Nov' 16th and they have some deals for early season if you book direct. You'll need to call up the tourist office, for some reason this is only on the German version of the web page. I think that speaks to the fact they're not expecting much interest from the UK, it's perceived to be too early. I've been up there mid-week on that opening and it's a bit dead, just me, some locals and a ton of snow :D
doh  just re-read your post, stag-do :D
easy peasy ! Sölden, just down the road from Obergurgl so you can ski there if you need to. But Sölden has some active nightlife that would work for a stag night

Not sure about Europe, but many resorts in Hokkaido Japan are scheduled to open in November.
e.g.
Niseko: 23 November
Furano: 20 November
Depending where you are flying from, Japan is often cheaper than European resorts as well.

Hi,
Resorts in the French Pyrenees open for the first weekend of December as this is a big Spanish holiday and all the Barcelonians come up to ski.
The main resorts are Les Angles and Font Romeu which have bars, restaurants and nightclubs. There are other smaller resorts around such as St Pierre dels Forcats and Puigmal but these do not have nightlife so are probably not best for a stag do!
All resorts have lots of snow cannon so as long as its cold there will be snow.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Sarah

Most European resorts are, unfortunately, not fully open in Nov. Best bets are obviously the high places and preferably glacier resorts. Tignes, Saas Fee, somewhere like Neustift because of the Stubai Glacier, Mayrhofen (Hintertux nearby). Glaciers should be getting really good by then, but most resorts dont have full winter skiing available then. :(
