Jackson Hole smashes world record for most denim-clad skiers
Login
It was a sea of denim in Jackson Hole earlier this week as they attempted to break to world record for the number of skiers in jeans.
Described by the resort as "a rite of passage", skiing in jeans has gone out of style somewhat since its heyday in the 1980s.
However, the resort was determined to wrest back the record from The Remarkables in New Zealand. With lift tickets reduced for the day to just €25 (compared with the usual €200), denim-clad snow lovers flocked to the resort.
As it was their paltry record of 102 was smashed as 3114 denim wearers gathered in the Wyoming resort to set new heights of snowsports fashion.
"This is the perfect way to kick off the winter season," claimed Ned Wonson, Director of Marketing at Jackson Hole
