Just had Christmas week in Passo Tonale.
There was a fair covering of older snow and making going on, enough to keep us going for the week. Some of the higher lifts and runs were closed.
I believe the lack of snow in other resorts meant there were many more people seeking the snow in Tonale.
There were big queues for the lifts mid week onwards and very busy slopes, i would say way over crowded for the size of the resort.
The new cable way has opened to a lower village which had no snow also adding to the busy pistes.
It was a nice start to the season but i'm looking forward to the real stuff in Tignes in Feb

interesting downside of it all!!
I'm thinking of a self organised trip there maybe end of Feb because it is probably one of the cheaper resorts.
