Hiya,
My friends and I are thinking about going to Val di Sole in February. I went there a 3 years ago and wasn't happy with the really long queues in season and the fact that the two skiing resorts in Madonna di Campiglio were connected with old and slow ski lifts. I was wondering if something has changed since then and if anyone would suggest it?

Hi, I'm off to folgarida with the j2ski lot, 17 of us in total, skiers and boarders. I've looked it up and it's supposed to be good for both skiers and boarders with a good lift system. They have probably updated the lifts since you last went.

Old/slow lifts do not really bother me too much but queues do ….. One answer is to jump the queues and get to the front !!!!

Come to Bardonecchia instead, lots of great skiing to be had. great pistes, great off piste and a snowpark. We've been here for 4 years and we've only queued at New Year and Weekends! Check our chalet out, if your interested get in touch and we can sort a deal out for you. www.sempreski.com

Not only that there are a lot of cues , but today the electric power was cut for most of the day and of course the cable cars didn't run. What was really unbelievable was that they refused any reimbursement for the ski pass, saying that the cable cars were not running due to the weather even if every one saw that there was no power.
To be honest I am skiing in Austria for the last 12 years and is the first time in Italy, and I am sorry to say but is way bellow Austria. Expensive food on the slopes, cues, old and slow cable cars( I cannot understand the reviewers before which said that cable cars are ok - see only the connection between Marilleva and Madona di Campiglio old rusty and not slow but the slowest that I saw ever)
Conclusion first and last time in Italy
