Hi all,
thinking of heading to Austria for a few days late skiing on the 2nd April.
Any suggestions on which resort is good for intermediate skiing this late in the season
Thanks in advance

Hi Noraa, welcome to J2ski. I will be in Obergurgl in the Oztal at that time, getting the last use out of my season pass! Both Obergurgl and Hochgurgl good for inters.

Obergurgl -- agreed, a fantastic high resort. 2 hours from Innsbruck, realistically. Options closer to Innsbruck airport are Stubai glacier (not hard, and a free bus to Schlick2000 which is great easy skiing but may be getting soft, take the lift down from the middle station). Kuhtai is very high so should be OK, lots of red, a bit harder to ski with a few fairly challenging runs. Axamer Lizum is good for spring snow as it gets less sun.

Lech and Zürs are worth a mention. 250cm on top; 120cm in the village. That's gonna stick around for a while yet. They're not exactly 'bargain basement', but then again, neither is Obergurgl. Good luck.

Noraa, Hintertux would be a good choice, it holds good snow well into April (and May) and has a lot of skiing for a glacier area. Plus, if you are lucky with the snow, the whole of the Mayrhofen area is a short bus ride away.
Gaz, we are going to Lech on 5th April. A report will follow!

Youre going to need to be high anywhere in Europe in April, skiing with 2000m altitude is pretty much a must.
Austria: Obergurgl and Hintertux spring to mind, Lech and the St Anton area is usually good then too, and Solden as well.
