Me & my Hubs are going to Zell on the 23rd March, flying into to Salzburg and are looking to get to Zell by the cheapest way possible. Does anyone have any knowledge of getting a bus or train and approximate costs? Is anyone else going at this time? We are coming back on the 2nd April but their will be 4 of us coming back.

wwwobb.at - for the local bus/train service . Bus which costs about €14 one way per person or Train for 2 persons on an Einfach Raus ticket is €32 one way but you can only use this on regional trains.
Otherwise www.holiday-shuttle.at for group daily shuttle buses at regular times, cost € 40 one way ( I think )

There is a bus from Salzburg Airport that goes via Lofer (cos we saw it) on to Zell Am Zee. Think it is 216 or 206, but it is yellow and stops outside. Think the fare is 8 euros. You can download the timetable to see how it fits in with your arrival times, but they are not all that frequent - hope this helps a bit. Very nice journey too!
