Thinking of going to Pas de la Casa on the 24th December for a week, we are 3 recently single, male absolute begineers 28, 29 and 30 years old looking for a fun, livily, resort. The Apres Ski and night life will be as, if not, more important than the sking itself! Does anyone recommend it or can you recommend somewhere that meets our requirements. Remember it is over xmas not sure if that will make much of a difference to the abience of the resorts?!!!

Thanks Rod

I will always say St Anton for the nightlife, although there are other great ones in that catagory. Only problem is that St Anton isnt very good for beginners as its got a lot of tough terrain. Although beginners are limited, its worth a try tho cos its a great resort.

ps. sorry, i cant help you with Pas de la Casa cos i have never been there!

Hi mate,
i went to pas de la casa 2 years ago with 2 of my mates. we had a great time, the skiing especially suits beginners and if its buzzing nightlife your looking for you have certianly chose the right place!

There are loads of clubs and bars which are reasonably priced and as far as i can remember there were theme nights on for most of the week which are always good for a laugh!

the only negative point i can think of is that the male to female ratio was extremely high, which is fine if your looking for that sort of thing but not so good if your looking for some female company!

All in all, go there with the mindset of partying all night and skiing all day and not worrying too much if you find the girl of your dreams and you will have a fantastic holiday.
The skiing area has improved greatly over the last few years and i would definately recommend making the most out of the day aswell as the night, or you might regret it when you get home!

Hi Rod,

Pas de la Casa will be great for you guys.

Its full of bars etc and generally very cheap. Duty free is dirt cheap too though be pretty careful about going over the limits as you can get stopped and searched all the way to the airport!

Do't bother getting a full area lift pass as it will work out expensive and as beginners you would be very unlikely to use it. Stick to the pass for Pas de la Casa ad you should find you have plenty to keep you occupied there..

Have fun - the snow cannons are hard at work so there should be skiing for Xmas. 8)

i went to pas in march as a low intermediate.. we dropped on lucky with the weather and got some ace boarding in and a stinging tan to boot.

we opted for the whole pass and as said in an earlier reply we didnt use all we couldve done. depending on the price difference id still go for the whole pass coz there are some awesome runs the other side of the hill to pas. the reds arent too difficult and after a few days we were going on the blacks too.. look out for the beautiful tree lined black - granorra - its a peach.

the bars were ok. i spent most of my time in the irish bar near the main chair lift. there are a few nice bars slope side too. i cant remember the names of the clubs but they are ok. there was a club in the basement of the hotel and after a few hours in there we were a wee bit tipsy on the walk up to them. booze is well cheap in the supermarkets so stock up and get ratted first coz its expensive in the bars. especially slope side.

its a great place and i will defo go back. have a good time.
