Anyone got any advise for Pila skiing, we're there this half term. Would also like to spend a couple of days in Cervinia as the ski pass covers this resort, but unsure how to get there from Pila? We're good intermediate skiers.

Cervenia is the next valley east and you really need a car. I do not know if there is a bus service. Why not try La Thuile/Le Rosiere as I think your lift pass covers a day there and there are at least free ski buses a day to and fro. La Thuile has about 160kms....I'm there at half term :D
Carving leaves me all on edge

Thanks for the info Bald Eagleman. We've skiied La Thuile/La Rossier loads of times, really enloyed it but fancy a change. Pity if there's no bus service to Cervenia, was looking forward to it.

We stayed in Cervinia with Inghams last season and went for an organised day skiing to Pila. I asked about bus connections and was told that it is possible to get there and back but one bus change is required at the bottom of Aosta Valley and it would take a long time. Car hire woulkd probably be the better option.

That's just the info I needed, thanks. I think we would be spending more time on the bus than skiing so we'll stay in Pila. Does anyone know the best mountain restaurants to head for?
