Haus Patricia In my opinion is ideal for families that are looking for their first skiing holiday together. It is within walking distance of the town centre and there is a great choice of well priced Family friendly restaurants for meals in the evening. There is no need to use a car everything is within walking distance, even for very small children.

The ski slopes are very good for beginners to Intermediates most of them being quite wide and well groomed red or blue runs. There is an excellent lift system and we hardly ever had to wait long (we were skiing very early in the season though).

Ski school Strum was fantastic for the kids, they went from never putting a pair of skis on in their life's to by the end of the week skiing (snow ploughing) with us down some of the bigger runs. They have fantastic friendly English speaking instructors and a great shop/hire facility, located right next to the gondola lift, that you can hire all your good quality ski equipment you can also hire a heated locker to leave all your Ski's poles and boots in over night for just ?5 a day. The lockers are big enough to get 2 adults and 2 kids worth of skis, poles and boots in, just, and this saves carrying them all back to Haus Patricia at the end of the day. However if you want to leave your skis at Haus Patricia there is adequate room downstairs and a drying room to hang up all your jacket etc so they are warm for the next day.

If possible I recommend taking the horse drawn sleigh ride around the the lovely village of Au it only cost ?67 for the four of us for about an hour sleigh ride around some of the most beautiful sights, it was almost romantic if the kids hadn't have been there.

Thank you to Amanda, Richard and Christian for making our stay a Holiday to remember. Hopefully see you next year and we mean that...
