I think it is great. Very large well maintained area, good skiing though perhaps shorter runs than some higher resorts. Snow can be a bit iffy because it is a bit low but man-made snow and snow management is excellent.
Good apres ski - moonlight bar after skiing for mad Germans singing Europop or a selection of bars downtown for more normal apres ski
Generally pretty good value.
Let me know if need any more info

Soll is part of the Skiwelt, which is, they claim, the largest interconnected ski area in Austria. As well as Soll itself, if you are a reasonably competent skier you have access to the whole of the Skiwelt area, including Ellmau, Scheffau, Westendorf, Hopfgarten etc. There is a vast area to explore, but if that seems limited, then from Westendorf you can easily nip across to the Kitzbuhel slopes, although of course you will need a different lift pass (you can get what they call the All Star card which covers both Skiwelt and Kitzbuhel).
Since my nightlife tends to consist of dinner, a glass or two of wine and then bed, I'm sure Wanderer's comments re apres-ski are bang-on :)

Been three years on the trot at the end of January and we loved the place. Snow, skiing and Apres were all great. Have a trawl through some of the soll threads you will find out more. You will not be dissappointed.

I too, ski in the Skiwelt every season, I love it. There is a lot of character in the villages, and good skiing to be had everywhere.
