Has anyone ever skiied in Cyprus? I know it's a very small area with a short season but I wondered if it's worth a day trip into the mountains if you're already out there.

Lots of my old mates from the forces used to ski at Troodos; their verdict that it was excellent for a day or two.

It is quite limiting but OK for a couple of days.....but....it must be one of the few places in Europe where you can do both types of sking in the same day.....snowy type at Troodos followed by wetty skiing at Happy Valley or Limmasol. Go on, do it ...you know you want to! )

Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Sauze, Courchevel, Val Thorens

The information on average snowfall, months open, etc is nearly as good as the piste map. It's very hard to find any concrete info. I'm digging to try and find the best time to go for snow.
