While it has been just cold enough in some places to make enough snow in other places it's a mess. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp=45809978&from=en-us_msnhp&snid=18424776

Blimey did not know it was that bad ... I thought it was just the east coast, just goes to show what a difference a year makes, still it will come I'm sure

I've got Millicent Martin stuck in my head, singing 'that the winter that wasn't' (it's over, let it go).
Horror stories from all across the US.... We're quite lucky locally so far, but who knows.

My son lives in Michigan and they had no snow at all before he came home for Xmas. Thats a sure sign that the US is dry at the moment.
Funny isnt it that a few weeks ago people were talking about not bothering with Europe due to a lack of snow and suggested heading over the pond.
I have to say, even last season when the snow was the worst I've known in my 11 years skiing, we still managed 2 great weeks skiing with no disruption in Europe.
You'd have to almost pay for me to go to the US to ski, what with the long flight and transfers, and the much higher cost.
Give me a 90 minute flight and 90 minute transfer any day.

Tony I fully admit I was on that wagon of considering a trip over the pond. But so far Europe is looking fantastic and it's a no brainer at the moment

Currently have a trip planned to Mammoth in the first week of March, however am able to relocate if required. Would really appreciate any guidance on where the snow is and where it will likely be in a month or so time as we are coming from Australia. Thanks
